GPS Survey Monuments
The City of Granbury established a Global Positioning System (GPS) Master Control Network. Within this network, nine GPS-controlled data monuments have been located throughout the city.
All plats within the incorporated boundary of the City of Granbury or its extra-terrestrial jurisdiction (ETJ) must provide the necessary documentation on the plat to relate the proposed platted boundary to one of the nine monuments. Plats are required to be submitted on the NAD83 (1993) State Plane Coordinate, Texas North Central Zone (4204), and U.S. Survey Feet coordinate system.
Additional monument information is available in the Community Development Department or the Public Works Department of the City of Granbury.
