Some of the topics were: pickleball, an update on Highway 377, glass recycling, emergency medical care, the development moratorium, mowing of overgrown properties, short-term rentals, and permits for after midnight serving alcohol. As new information becomes available, the City will post about the topics residents brought to the meeting.

Bulk Trash Pickup Oct. 1

The next bulk trash pick-up day for City of Granbury residents is Saturday, October 1. Please have items curbside by 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Acceptable items for bulk trash pick-up include mattresses. Also acceptable are refrigerators, freezers, and a/c units—which must have certification of Freon reclamation.

Tree limbs will be picked up if they are bundled and less than four feet long.
There is a six-item limit per household.

Items that will not be picked up include tires, paint, oil, liquids, construction and masonry materials.

Bulk trash day does not affect normal residential pick-up.

Fall Festival Volunteers Needed

Granbury’s Fall Festival, Monday, Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Decker Field, 301 N Hannaford. St. is a great way for organizations to provide information, fun and food to the approximately 1000 people who attend. It’s free, open to everyone and hosted by the City’s Parks and Recreation Department.

They are now taking reservations for a limited number of vendors at the event. Vendors must provide all the items (tables/chairs, etc.) in their space and host a kid-friendly game or activity. They may give away appropriate items, but nothing may be sold.

The Parks and Recreation Department is also looking for volunteers to help at the event, as well as donations of candy and prizes.
