A "Three-Peat" Win for Best Historic Small Town

Granbury has been named the Best Historic Small Town 2021 by USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award. The City of Granbury takes the top spot from 10 nominees in this annual 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award for the third year in a row; 2019, 2020 & 2021.
 
The 10Best competition publicized the 20 nominees for Best Historic Small Towns who all have big histories and small populations – fewer than 35,000 people as of the last census – making them fun and affordable ways to dive into our nation's past. A panel of experts from USA Today partnered with 10Best editors to pick the initial 20 nominees and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Hearing announced

The State Office of Administrative Hearings announced they will be conducting a preliminary hearing for the new City of Granbury Wastewater Treatment Plant. It is part of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) permit process for 3121 Old Granbury Road site. The hearing is December 13 at 10 a.m. via Zoom.
