“Powered for Life Day” proclaimed in Granbury

A large crowd from the Forward Training Center of Hood County attended the December 7 Granbury City Council meeting as Mayor Jim Jarratt proclaimed that day “Powered for Life Day.”

Earlier this year, the Forward Training Center began the Powered for Life Youth Program providing education and training for students 13 to 17 years of age. The classes provide a platform for developing their talent and training, leading to a quality of life and self-sufficiency.

The Mayor joined the Center in recognizing the volunteers and donors who made this new youth program a reality. “Students in the Youth Program learn practical skills to provide a road map, resulting in changed lives and empowering them to have hope for the future,” Mayor Jarratt said. “The Forward Training Center welcomes the support and participation of the public; whether it be volunteering to provide leadership, spiritual support, training, or donating to help with curriculum, childcare, or graduation,” he added.
