The State Office of Administrative Hearings announced they will be conducting a preliminary hearing for the new City of Granbury Wastewater Treatment Plant. It is part of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) permit process for 3121 Old Granbury Road site. The hearing is December 13 at 10 a.m. via Zoom. Only persons named as parties may participate at the hearing. For more details, please go to www.soah.texas.gov or call at 512-475-4993.
Previously, the TCEQ Executive Director made a preliminary decision that this permit, if issued, meets all statutory and regulatory requirements.
TCEQ has also completed two antidegradation review and reports: “A Tier 1 antidegradation review has preliminarily determined that existing water quality uses will not be impaired by this permit action. Numerical and narrative criteria to protect existing uses will be maintained. A Tier 2 review has preliminarily determined that no significant degradation of water quality is expected in Rucker Creek or Lake Granbury, which have been identified as having high aquatic life uses. Existing uses will be maintained and protected.”
TCEQ’s Public Education Program provides information about the hearing process. They can be reached at 800-687-4040.
