The Granbury City Council named Nettie Baccus Elementary School Student Council President Izabella Cruz an Honorary Councilmember at the January 21, 2020 City Council Meeting in recognition of her academic excellence, leadership, and representation of the qualities of an excellent councilmember.
Izabella is in the fifth grade in Ms. Williams’ homeroom class at Nettie Baccus Elementary School. Ms. Williams says she is a very hard worker, bubbly, and friendly, and that she will go above and beyond to help others. Izabella is involved in UIL and plays basketball, softball, and is on a cheer team. She loves to play sports, be involved in all school activities, clean, color, and listen to music.
Izabella is the daughter of Alejandro and Brittney Cruz. She is the sister to AnaMia, Alejandro Jr., Gabriella, Giovanni, Catalina, and Camila Cruz.
The Granbury City Council will continue to recognize exceptional students involved in student council from different schools in the Granbury Independent School District at future City Council meetings.
