The City of Granbury congratulates Council Member Eddie Rodriquez upon his recent election as President of the Texas Municipal League (TML) Region 8.
TML regions play a critical role in fostering strong municipal governance, facilitating the exchange of ideas, and assisting the TML Board of Directors in shaping policies that address the diverse needs of Texas cities. Region 8 encompasses Hood County, six surrounding counties, and three counties north of Fort Worth.
Council Member Rodriquez has dedicated more than a decade to serving Granbury residents in various capacities, including the Zoning Board of Adjustment, the Charter Review Commission, and the Planning and Zoning Commission. He was elected to Granbury City Council in 2019 and reelected in 2022.
While serving a one-year term as TML Region 8 President, Rodriquez will continue his duties on the Granbury City Council.
“I’m honored to have the privilege to interact with the cities in TML Region 8 while simultaneously continuing to serve the residents of Granbury on City Council,” Rodriquez said. “This role offers a unique opportunity to learn from other cities’ successes and share the innovative ways Granbury is serving its residents.”
The Texas Municipal League was established in 1913 to serve and advocate for Texas cities. With membership open to any city in the state, the League has grown from its original 14 members to represent 1,173 cities today. TML remains committed to addressing the needs and interests of its member cities.
