Granbury Volunteer Fire Department hosts training

Flashover EvolutionThe City of Granbury is grateful to the 75 firefighters representing 19 fire departments who came to the Granbury Volunteer Fire Department Training Field Sat. (Oct. 7) for hands-on training. In the flashover evolution training, firefighters learned and observed how fire spreads when it consumes the oxygen in a room and when the room is ventilated.  The firefighters learned how to “read” a fire and safely extinguish it. Firefighters also learned how to safely remove drivers and passengers from wrecked vehicles.
