The City of Granbury is grateful to the 75 firefighters representing 19 fire departments who came to the Granbury Volunteer Fire Department Training Field Sat. (Oct. 7) for hands-on training. In the flashover evolution training, firefighters learned and observed how fire spreads when it consumes the oxygen in a room and when the room is ventilated. The firefighters learned how to “read” a fire and safely extinguish it. Firefighters also learned how to safely remove drivers and passengers from wrecked vehicles.
