The filing window for candidates for the Nov. 7, 2023 City of Granbury Councilperson Place 4 and Councilperson Place 6 election closed Monday, Aug. 21 at 5 p.m.
For Councilperson Place 4, the candidates are Charles Beard, Brad Benson and Gary “Skip” Overdier. Incumbent Trish Burwell is not running for re-election.
For Councilperson Place 6, the candidates are incumbent Greg Corrigan, and Alex Wolf.
A drawing to determine the order in which the names of candidates are to be printed on the ballot will be held Thursday, Aug. 24 at 9 a.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. Both positions are three-year terms.
The last day to register to vote in the City Council election is Oct. 10.
Early voting by personal appearance is Oct. 23 through Nov. 3 at the Hood County Annex 1, 1410 West Pearl Street, Granbury.
