[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: All Trash, Recycle Collections Canceled till Monday

Granbury Logo

Today, the City of Granbury’s trash and recycling contractor, Waste Connections Lone Star, Inc., has notified staff that it will be closing all operations and will be unable to collect any residential trash or recycling until Monday at the earliest. Residential customers will be serviced on their regular pick-up day.

“The volumes will be higher than normal and will most likely run behind in some areas. However, we will utilize more vehicles and manpower to provide timely service for the Citizens in the Communities,” said Sean Dowden, District Manager, Waste Connections. “We will service some commercial businesses on Saturday focusing on apartments, restaurants, health facilities and hospitals.”

Dowden concluded by saying, “Thank you all for understanding as we all are challenged in the coming days and next week.”
