Thursday afternoon Weather Update
City of Granbury public facilities are going to be closed again on Friday due to inclement weather. If you have a life-threatening emergency, please call 911. The Police Dept. non-emergency number is 817-573-2648.
As of 3 p.m., most, if not all roads have a layer of ice under the snow. Please stay off the roads if you can. If you must drive, please go slowly, especially near intersections. Use only main roads when possible. Police are redirecting traffic near the Acton Triangle due to ice accumulations. The Weather Service forecast (below) for Granbury indicates that conditions will not improve before Saturday. Please stay off the roads if possible.
There are no reported issues with electric power in the City. If you need to report a power outage or suspect a water main break in your neighborhood, please call 817-588-0488.
It’s always a good idea to call friends and neighbors, especially if they are elderly or disabled, to check on their well-being.
If you use a portable heater indoors, plug it directly into a wall outlet. Never use an extension cord or power strip.
