New Fountain in Hewlett Park

There's a new fountain recently installed at Hewlett Park to help aerate the water. WATCH VIDEO OF THE NEW FOUNTAIN BY CLICKING THIS LINK The area does not get any flow unless the rain event is heavy enough to cause street and property drainage to flow into the retention pond. Retention ponds benefit our environment by acting as natural filters. They help to remove sediment and slow flow to prevent erosion before the water drains into the lake. The fountain will help to keep the water moving while it is held in the pond. The Granbury City Parks Department sized the fountain small enough to allow it to operate in the shallow pond. Larger fountains would be too powerful and stir up sediment from the bottom of the pond.

The City hired G & G electric to make electrical improvements in the area to power the fountain. The Kasco brand fountain was purchased from Ewing Irrigation and installed by the City Parks Department.
