The City of Granbury will be seeking public input when it hosts a Noise Ordinance workshop on Thursday, February 18, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 116 W. Bridge Street.
The attached map shows the target area for the noise ordinance. Impacted residents and business owners who have property, or live within or near the target area, are requested to participate in this workshop. Specifically, the City is seeking information regarding the volume level of music from businesses in this area.
Changes to the City’s Noise Ordinance may need to be made in the next few weeks and months, so the City needs residents’ feedback to help:
- Identify and prioritize noise concerns, and
- Develop clear and enforceable thresholds for noise generation
City staff will take the meeting feedback, and input from businesses in the area, to draft any needed adjustments to the ordinance before bringing it to the City Council for final consideration.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be limited seating at the meeting. The City will be following CDC guidelines for this meeting to ensure proper safety protocols. Those planning on attending the meeting are requested to RSVP to comdev@granbury.org.
