[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Crockett St. Construction Pushed Back To Nov. 9

UPDATE: The start of construction work on Crockett St. (between town square and post office) has been pushed back one week, and will start on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020.

Starting Monday morning, November 2, contractors working for the City of Granbury’s Public Works Department will begin major construction work on Crockett Street (between the post office and town square) that will consist of tearing up the current pavement, resealing and repairing the road underlayment, and repaving the road with new asphalt.

Contractors from Jay Mills Contracting, Inc. have requested that anyone living on or with a business on Crockett St. to please not park vehicles on the street overnight or allow sprinkler systems to run excess water onto the street. Their regular working hours will be Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the project is expected to be finished by Nov. 25, weather permitting.

Drivers that normally use these portions of Crockett St. are being asked to find alternate routes and to be aware that there will be road crews working on the streets.

If you have questions or for more information please contact Granbury Public Information Officer Alex Southern at 817-573-6764 or at asouthern@granbury.org.
