The Granbury City Council named STEAM Academy at Mambrino Student Council President Carley Hill an Honorary Councilmember at the December 17, 2019 City Council Meeting in recognition of her academic excellence, leadership, and representation of the qualities of an excellent councilmember.
Carley Hill is the daughter of Jamar and Tiffany Hill. She has an older sister, Saphyre, and a younger brother, Jamar, Jr. She is a fifth-grade student at STEAM Academy at Mambrino and president of the Student Council.
Carley says her favorite subject at STEAM is math. She is an active and avid athlete, playing select soccer and basketball. One of her favorite memories in school was playing the role of the Statue of Liberty in the second grade. In her free time, she enjoys drawing people and animals. Outside of the classroom, Carley swims year-round with the Granbury Seals.
The Granbury City Council will continue to recognize exceptional students involved in student council from different schools in the Granbury Independent School District at future City Council meetings.
