[ARCHIVED] City to Begin Project to Reconstruct Several Streets in June

The City of Granbury has awarded Jay Mills Contracting, Inc. a contract for $1,162,362.25 to reconstruct several City streets. Construction will begin June 3, 2019 and continue through November 2019. Normal working hours will be 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Saturday.

The streets to be reconstructed are

  • Misty Meadows Dr.,
  • Olson Ct.,
  • N. Travis St.,
  • N. Crockett St.,
  • Brazos Harbor Dr.,
  • and E. Clifton Rd.

Reconstruction will include removing the existing asphalt and base materials and replacing with additional base and asphalt materials. The aging water line in N. Crockett St. will also be replaced.

Adequate traffic control devices will be installed for the duration of each location. There will be inconveniences and disruptions during this construction period, but Jay Mills Contracting, Inc. and City inspectors will attempt to keep these to a minimum. City staff asks for your patience during this construction period and assure you that all work will be performed as quickly as possible. Construction schedule updates will be posted on the City of Granbury social media accounts.
