The Granbury City Council named Granbury Middle School Student Council President Sandie Salubre an Honorary Councilmember at the April 16, 2019 City Council Meeting in recognition of her academic excellence, leadership, and representation of the qualities of an excellent councilmember.
Sandie Salubre is the daughter of John and Tess Salubre. She is an 8th grade student at Granbury Middle School and president of Student Council. At GMS, Sandie has participated in the Robotics Club, Innovation Club, and Engineering Club. She is also a current member of Slackers, a reading and leadership group. Outside of school, Sandie takes pride in participating in martial arts.
The Granbury City Council will continue to recognize exceptional students involved in student council from different schools in the Granbury Independent School District at future City Council meetings.
