The Granbury City Council named Oak Woods School Student Council President Baylor Oliver an Honorary Councilmember at the March 20, 2019 City Council Meeting in recognition of her academic excellence, leadership, and representation of the qualities of an excellent councilmember.
Baylor Oliver is a 5th grade student at Oak Woods School. She is a third generation Granbury ISD student, and her proud parents are Casey and Lissa Oliver. She has attended Oak Woods since kindergarten and is currently the student council president. As a school leader, Baylor helped start the Kindness Club student organization. She also starred as Willy Wonka in the school musical this year. Her hobbies are playing sports, singing, and dancing. She is a member of StoneWater Church and volunteers by leading worship for children’s ministry.
The Granbury City Council will continue to recognize exceptional students involved in student council from different schools in the Granbury Independent School District at future City Council meetings.
