Fall Festival - News Flash

Join the Granbury Parks and Recreation Department for a new community event this fall! Everyone is invited to the Fall Festival on Saturday, October 13 at City Park from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be games, booths, and contests for the whole family.

Planned games include sack races, stick horse races, needle-in-the-haystack, ring-around-the-pumpkin, tug-of-war, and pumpkin decorating. There will also be booths with apple cider and popcorn and three picture stations. Even more fun games and booths may be added.

Plus, there will be several contests held; all contests are free to participate in, except the Pumpkin Raffle.Fall Festival - Contests (1)

  • Best Cake Contest: The Best Cake Contest is limited to eight participants that must sign up ahead of time at www.granbury.org/fallfestival. The Best Cake Contest will be judged on taste at 2:00 p.m.
  • Pie Eating Contest. The Pie Eating Contest is limited to eight participants that must sign up ahead of time at www.granbury.org/fallfestival. The Pie Eating Contest will be judged on the completion of one pie in the shortest amount of time at 2:30 p.m.
  • Pumpkin Raffle: For $1 per ticket, enter to win one of several huge pumpkins to take home. The winners of the pumpkins will be announced at 3:00 p.m.
  • Guess the Candy Corn: Guess the number of candy corn in the giant jar for a chance to win it. The winner of the candy corn jar will be announced at 2:40 p.m.

Parking for the event will be at the City of Granbury Service Center, Dana Vollmer Municipal Swim Center, and soccer field parking lots.
