[ARCHIVED] Private Use of Fireworks is Illegal in Granbury City Limits

Leave the fireworks to the pros 2018

With the Fourth of July holiday approaching, the City of Granbury would like to remind residents that the use, possession, or sale of fireworks within the city limits is illegal.


City of Granbury Code of Ordinances | Sec. 5.02.004: Fireworks storage, sale or use
It shall be unlawful for any person to possess, store, offer for sale, expose for sale, sell at retail, use or explode any fireworks within the corporate city limits of the city or within five thousand feet (5,000') of the city limits.


Granbury police personnel will be on patrol throughout the holiday. To report fireworks violations please call (817)573-2648. Please do not call 9-1-1 to report fireworks violations.

Residents are welcome to enjoy the Granbury Chamber of Commerce’s professionally produced fireworks show, the Extreme Pyrotechnics Fireworks Show, over Lake Granbury starting at 9:45 p.m. on July 4. Learn more at www.granburychamber.com/pages/th-of-july.
