[ARCHIVED] City Telephone System Service Restored

UPDATE: Phone service for the City has been restored.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: April 13, 2017

The City of Granbury telephone system is experiencing technical issues, and all phone lines are temporarily out of order as of early April 13.  This affects all City of Granbury government offices.

If you need to contact the City, please call 817-894-3349 until the system is back online. That number is for nonemergency purposes; in the event of an emergency, citizens should always use 911.

The outage was caused by an air handler unit failing overnight, which caused servers to overheat and shut down. Staff began work to resolve the issues immediately after being made aware of them early this morning. Technicians are continuing to work on the problem, but currently do not have a time estimate for resolution of this issue.

The City will update its website and social media accounts when the phone system is back in working order.
